Your Role:

As a Line Cook, you'll play a crucial role in our kitchen, preparing delicious, beautifully presented dishes. You'll learn and execute our menu items while maintaining our standards for quality. We expect our cooks to work seamlessly together in a high-volume, scratch kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare menu items following HomeGrown's recipes and specifications (60% of the role).
  • Complete prep work, ensuring accuracy in following recipes (15%).
  • Set up your workstation for an efficient cooking process (5%).
  • Maintain proper food safety and sanitation practices at all times (10%).
  • Keep your work area clean and organized before, during, and after service (5%).
  • Participate in completing daily and weekly cleaning tasks (5%).

Qualifications:

  • A positive attitude with a passion for learning and growth.
  • Able to safely handle materials in various positions (lifting, reaching, etc.).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to assist across different kitchen roles, including dishwashing and prep.
  • Proficient in using kitchen equipment, including knives and slicers.
  • Physical ability to transport cases up to 50 pounds multiple times daily.

Physical Requirements: This role requires mobility, manual dexterity, and the ability to engage in physical activities like lifting and bending.
