Position Overview: As a 3rd Year Pharmacy Intern, you will play a vital role in our pharmacy operations, ensuring that our patients receive safe, accurate, and timely prescription fulfillment. Under the guidance of your preceptor, you will engage in comprehensive training, gaining firsthand experience in pharmacy practices and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pharmacy teams in adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance patient health.
- Assist in prescription fulfillment processes across various pharmacy workstations.
- Deliver outstanding customer service, showing empathy and care in all patient interactions.
- Participate in telephonic prescription processes and medical inquiries under pharmacist supervision.
- Engage in inventory management tasks as directed by pharmacy leadership.
- Provide additional patient healthcare services, including immunizations, as permissible and after obtaining the required training.
- Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and inclusivity within the pharmacy team.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this rewarding opportunity, you should:
- Be accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Possess, or be on the path to obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
