Our client is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team at their state-of-the-art facility in Cary, IL. nnnResponsibilities:

- Design custom industrial heaters, enclosures, and thermal systems using SolidWorks and other CAD tools n
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, electrical engineering, manufacturing, quality) to develop cutting-edge, manufacturable designs n
- Perform design calculations and thermal simulations to validate concepts and performance n
- Generate detailed drawings, BOMs, and documentation to support production and quality standards n
- Drive continuous product improvement through design optimization, cost reduction, and performance enhancements n
- Participate in design reviews and lead prototype testing and validation n
- Support customer-specific product customization and application engineering n
Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field n
- 2–5+ years of mechanical design experience in a manufacturing environment n
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks ) n
- Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes (sheet metal, machining, etc.), and GD&T n
- Experience with thermal systems, heaters, or similar electrical-mechanical assemblies is a major plus n
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively n
- Strong communication skills and a passion for innovation n
