This position has an expected salary range of $144,900 to $161,000 based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonuses and contributions to your 401(k).

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

As a Senior Staff Engineer, you will be at the forefront of advanced engineering problem solving supporting nuclear plant operations. You will possess exceptional knowledge in your technical discipline and ensure adherence to industry codes and regulations. Your expertise will be pivotal in making key technical decisions.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Conduct advanced nuclear engineering tasks to support nuclear plant operations.
  • Execute independent research, analyses, and reviews in support of technical projects.
  • Provide in-depth technical expertise to ensure compliance with safety, reliability, maintainability, and availability standards.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of engineering outputs, maintaining configuration management and adhering to standard design criteria and codes.
  • Provide consultations and hands-on support to resolve equipment and system challenges.
  • Oversee task management of engineering issues.
  • Recommend innovative equipment and techniques to enhance performance, streamline costs, and comply with regulatory changes.
  • Support plant design modifications, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues.
  • Guarantee that all engineering products comply with safety analyses, industry codes, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate functional supervisory activities, including personnel management, budgeting, and planning goals for engineering teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, including emergency response responsibilities and support during outages.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) with a minimum of 10 years in the engineering field.
  • Proven track record of technical leadership and successful teamwork skills.
  • Ability to meet access requirements for the position, including successful completion of medical evaluations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional Engineer Registration.
  • Advanced technical degrees or specialized coursework.
