Position Summary:
The Director of Pricing will serve as the senior authority for all pricing and cost volume activities across the company's Department of Defense and federal contract portfolio. This role provides strategic leadership in pricing policy, cost strategy, and compliance while overseeing the development of competitive, compliant, and compelling cost proposals. The successful candidate will bring deep knowledge of DoD contracting, superior financial acumen, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with capture, finance, contracts, and executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the company's pricing function for all federal and DoD proposals, including competitive procurements, sole source, re-competes, and task orders across contract types (CPFF, FFP, T&M, IDIQs, OTAs, GWACs, and MACs).
  • Set and execute company-wide pricing strategies in support of capture planning, price-to-win analysis, and business growth objectives.
  • Manage the preparation and submission of cost volumes, ensuring accuracy, responsiveness, and alignment with FAR, DFARS, CAS, and agency-specific regulations.
  • Collaborate with capture managers and executive leadership on bid/no-bid decisions and price positioning strategies.
  • Oversee cost modeling and burden rate development in coordination with finance, ensuring optimal pricing structures that balance competitiveness and profitability.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a team of pricing professionals to support a high volume of fast-paced government proposals.
  • Interface with external auditors (DCAA/DCMA) and support audit readiness, forward pricing rate agreements (FPRAs), and cost submissions.
  • Stay informed of acquisition trends across all military branches (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Space Force) and civilian defense agencies to guide pricing strategy.
  • Standardize and enhance proposal pricing tools, templates, and methodologies to improve efficiency, scalability, and quality assurance.
  • Represent pricing in senior leadership discussions and support due diligence during mergers, partnerships, or new business models.
Qualifications:
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of pricing or cost proposal experience in government contracting, including 5+ years in a senior or executive role
  • Strong understanding of FAR, DFARS, TINA, and other federal acquisition and pricing regulations
  • Demonstrated success leading pricing efforts for multi-million and billion-dollar federal proposals
  • Experience across a wide range of DoD agencies, particularly in multi-branch acquisition environments
  • Exceptional leadership, analytical, and communication skills
Preferred:
  • MBA or Master's in Finance, Public Administration, or related field
  • Experience with Costpoint, ProPricer, or equivalent pricing systems
  • Familiarity with SBIR/STTR, GSA Schedules, and federal agency IDIQ/GWAC vehicles
  • Active or eligible U.S. Security Clearance
