What We're Looking For

We are seeking a Data Scientist to analyze our product and sales data, providing actionable insights to support decision-making across the company. This role involves working closely with Product and Sales leadership to understand product usage, identify trends, and contribute to our growth through data-driven strategies.

This position reports to the CEO and is based in either New York City or the San Francisco Bay Area, with a hybrid work requirement of 2 days in-office per week. The salary range is $140,000-$174,000.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Product, Sales, and other teams to identify key features and behaviors that impact business success.
  • Analyze product usage data to generate insights that inform product development and sales strategies.
  • Analyze enterprise product usage patterns to inform prospecting and ideal customer profile development.
  • Answer strategic questions about customer usage and characteristics.
  • Build and optimize data pipelines for large datasets.
  • Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like Looker.
  • Write SQL queries and scripts to automate workflows.
  • Proactively identify trends and opportunities for growth or improvement.
  • Share best practices and enable teams to leverage analytics tools effectively.

Minimum Requirements

  • 5-8+ years of experience in a data science role.
  • Experience as a first data team hire is preferred.
  • Ability to independently design and build data pipelines.
  • Ownership attitude with decision-making experience or collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with BI tools like Looker.
  • Ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate insights clearly.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Sales, or Operations teams.
  • Familiarity with cloud data infrastructure such as AWS or GCP.
  • Deep expertise in Statistics and SQL.
