This opportunity is ideal for attorneys with a strong life sciences or technical background and significant experience in complex patent litigation under the Hatch-Waxman Act. The role involves active participation in all phases of litigation, including drafting, discovery, and strategic case development for high-impact pharmaceutical and regulatory disputes.

Duties:

  • Manage and participate in pharmaceutical patent litigation matters, particularly Hatch-Waxman cases
  • Draft and edit legal briefs, motions, memoranda, and discovery documents
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis related to FDA regulatory frameworks and patent law
  • Participate in fact development, depositions, and expert discovery processes
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients on strategy and case direction
  • Contribute to trial preparation and proceedings as needed
  • Stay updated on developments in patent law and life sciences regulations

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience, with a strong focus on Hatch-Waxman and life sciences patent litigation
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in high-stakes, fast-paced legal environments
  • Exceptional legal writing, analytical, and communication skills
  • Prior law firm experience handling IP litigation matters
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Admission to at least one U.S. state bar and in good standing

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

State Bar admission (any U.S. jurisdiction), with preference for California licensure

Skills:

  • Expertise in pharmaceutical patent disputes and FDA-related litigation
  • Familiarity with life sciences, chemistry, biology, or related technical disciplines
  • Strong project management and multitasking capabilities
  • Team-oriented mindset with a proactive and client-focused approach
