Base pay range

$80,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr

Were seeking a creative and technically strong AI Agent Engineer with a passion for language and healthcare to help design, test, and refine prompts, and design tools for our AI-powered healthcare agents. In this role, youll work closely with engineers and our deployment team to refine and optimize prompts that ensure both clinical safety and a strong patient experience. Youll play a central role in shaping how our large language models communicate with patients, providers, and care teams ensuring that outputs are clinically sound, context-aware, and delivered with empathy. The ideal candidate blends engineering skill with a product mindset, thrives on iteration and experimentation, is meticulous in their approach, and has a deep interest in conversation design and natural language interactions.
Responsibilities

• Design and evaluate prompts for AI agents and tools that support healthcare tasks such as patient outreach, enrollment, symptom screening, and follow-up care
• Work closely with clinical, product, and engineering teams to ensure prompt outputs align with medical accuracy, regulatory guidelines, and user intent
• Develop and maintain a prompt library tailored to different patient populations, clinical scenarios, and communication channels (voice, chat, etc.)
• Evaluate performance of LLM outputs, identify error patterns, and iterate using structured testing and evaluation
• Incorporate inclusive language, health literacy best practices, and cultural sensitivity into prompt design
• Stay informed on LLM capabilities, fine-tuning strategies, and ethical standards for AI in healthcare
