We are currently accepting applications for a full-time permanent Psychiatrist position at Central Ohio Behavioral Healthcare, located at 2200 West Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43223.
What youll do at OhioMHAS :
- Evaluate, examine, analyze, diagnose, and treat patients; prescribe medication;
- Coordinate Treatment Team meetings & provide clinical direction to Treatment Team staff in developing Individual Treatment Plans (ITP) for assigned patients; perform mental & physical examinations of patients;
- Administer & monitor psycho-pharmacological, psychotherapeutic & other treatments for each patient; provide individual & group treatment; monitor medical conditions and seek consultation, referral, or transfer as necessary to maintain patient well-being;
- Collaborate with outside psychiatrists and clinicians to ensure coordinated care & continuity in community settings;
- Complete and maintain documentation of activities/treatments to ensure compliance with TJC, Medicare, Medicaid, OhioMHAS, hospital policies, regulations, & directives;
- Provide direction to professional/paraprofessional, nursing & direct care staff regarding psychiatric care of patients.
Note: This is an in-person position requiring daily contact with patients.

This is an hourly position covered by the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 bargaining unit (union) , with a pay range of P1 on the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 Pay Range Schedule . Additional pay supplements provided! Normal hours are Monday - Friday, mostly daytime, with occasional evenings. The position is located at Central Ohio Behavioral Healthcare , 2200 West Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43223.
Unless union contract or Ohio Revised Code specify otherwise, the candidate will start at Step 1 of the pay range, with opportunities for pay increases after six months of satisfactory performance and annually thereafter.
