Job Summary:

Peak Gastroenterology is seeking a skilled and experienced Advanced Endoscopist to join our medical team in Colorado Springs. The ideal candidate will possess advanced training in endoscopic procedures and demonstrate a high level of expertise in diagnosing and treating complex gastrointestinal conditions. The Advanced Endoscopist will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the ongoing development of our endoscopy services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform advanced endoscopic procedures, including but not limited to ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography), EUS (Endoscopic Ultrasound), and advanced polypectomy techniques.
  • Diagnose and treat complex gastrointestinal conditions using endoscopic techniques.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Provide pre- and post-procedure consultations to patients and their families, explaining the risks and benefits of procedures and addressing any concerns.
  • Stay current with advancements in endoscopic technology and techniques through continuous education and professional development.
  • Contribute to clinical research and quality improvement initiatives within the endoscopy unit.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards related to endoscopy services.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Gastroenterology.
  • Fellowship training in Advanced Endoscopy or equivalent advanced endoscopic training.
  • Ability to obtain a valid medical license to practice in Colorado.
  • Extensive experience in performing advanced endoscopic procedures.
  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
