The Department of Psychiatry and Psychology at the Cleveland Clinic is currently recruiting various Board Certified / Eligible Geriatric Psychiatrists. This recruitment aligns with the growth of the Neurological Institute, which will open a new, state-of-the-art, 1 million square foot Neurological Institute Building in late 2026.
This opportunity involves working with cutting-edge neurological subspecialties, including the Center for Brain Health (Alzheimer's Disease, dementia, and related disorders) and the Center for Neurological Restoration (Parkinson's Disease and related disorders), in a multidisciplinary team setting, exemplifying the team approach to care for which Cleveland Clinic is renowned.
The Department of Psychiatry and Psychology comprises 43 psychiatrists, 20 psychologists, 39 APPs, and 18 LISWs, collectively seeing 88,000 outpatients annually across various Cleveland Clinic Health System locations. The department also features 200 inpatient psychiatric beds, a growing treatment-resistant psychiatric program, advanced therapeutics (ECT, TMS, ketamine), and various mood disorder and chemical dependency (IOP) programs.
There is a strong teaching and academic mission, including an Adult Psychiatry Residency Program, a Consultation Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship, and a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship. The department also serves as a training site for the Cleveland City-Wide Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship and is a core psychiatry clerkship site for CCLCM and CWRU medical students. Additionally, the Cleveland Clinic offers a Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry Fellowship for clinical, academic, and research collaboration.
Academic and research opportunities include advanced therapeutics, psychedelic trials, and clinical trials within neurological centers of excellence. The department offers abundant teaching opportunities in a collaborative environment. Weekend call is 1 in 8 weekends within the Cleveland Clinic Health System.
