The city of Temecula, forming the southwestern anchor of the Inland Empire region, is approximately 58 miles (93 km) north of downtown San Diego and 85 miles (137 km) southeast of downtown Los Angeles. Although Temecula is geographically closer to downtown San Diego than downtown Los Angeles, it is considered part of the Greater Los Angeles area. Temecula is bordered by the city of Murrieta to the north and the Pechanga Indian Reservation and San Diego County to the south. Temecula is also the principal city of the TemeculaMurrietaMenifee, CA urban area, which had a population of 528,991 as of the 2020 census.

For more information, please visit the following link: This position is located in a Defense Health Agency (DHA) medical treatment facility (MTF) and performs professional work in the field of Family Medicine. The purpose of this position is to provide comprehensive Family Medicine medical care to a broad range of patients with both common and complex medical concerns. Care includes, but is not limited to, diagnosis, prevention, therapy, maintenance and rehabilitation for enrolled patients within the scope of clinical privileges.
Major Duties
- Serves as a Physician in the delivery of Family Medicine medical care to all ages of active-duty personnel, their dependents, eligible Service Component Civilian employees and other eligible beneficiaries.
- Serves as member of the professional medical staff and/ or faculty to provide advisory and consultative services on various meetings, committees, conferences, and/ or boards.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
US Citizenship required
Degree: Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or equivalent from a school in the United States or Canada. This degree must have been accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association; Association of American Medical Colleges; Liaison Committee on Medical Education; Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation of the American Osteopathic Association, or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. A Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from a foreign medical school must have provided education and medical knowledge equivalent to accredited schools in the United States. Evidence of equivalency to accredited schools in the United States is demonstrated by permanent certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates, a fifth pathway certificate for Americans who completed premedical education in the United States and graduate education in a foreign country, or successful completion of the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination.
Board Certification: Must possess and maintain board certification in Family Medicine by a nationally recognized board.
Licensure : Applicants must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
Graduate Training: Subsequent to obtaining a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree, a candidate must have had at least one year of supervised experience providing direct service in a clinical setting, i.e., a one-year internship or the first year of a residency program in a hospital or an institution accredited for such training.
