MaineHealth Hospital Medicine is seeking a BC/BE Internal Medicine physician to work as a full-time hospitalist at MaineHealth Maine Medical Center Biddeford. We offer a competitive salary and benefits, with the opportunity to work in a community hospital setting with close connections to MaineHealth Maine Medical Center Portland, a tertiary academic medical center.
MaineHealth Maine Medical Center Biddeford is a non-profit, full-service community hospital with 125 acute care beds located on the beautiful southern Maine coast. It is MaineHealth's second-largest hospital and provides a comprehensive array of medical care to the southern region of Maine, including emergency departments in Biddeford and Sanford. The hospitalist team includes 15 employed hospitalists and 10 Advanced Practice Professionals. It has a strong affiliation with the University of New England medical school, with third-year medical students participating in rotations in our Hospital Medicine program. Physicians hired into this role will have the opportunity to work closely with advanced practice professionals (NP/PA).
MaineHealth Hospital Medicine in the Southern Region now includes over 70 hospitalists engaged in clinical care, quality improvement, and medical education. The group features leaders from across the organization, including roles in resident and undergraduate medical education, medical consultation, preoperative medicine, homeless health, and quality initiatives, all aligned with MaineHealth's mission: Working together so our communities are the healthiest in America. There are ample opportunities for continuing education and journal clubs.
