The University of Virginia (UVA) Community Health Anesthesiology Department is seeking an American Board of Anesthesiology certified or certification-eligible candidate to join our dynamic Anesthesiology team in the growing Northern Virginia area. Successful candidates will make a significant impact on our expanding program.

Responsibilities:



  • Administer anesthesia and related care

  • Participate in pre-anesthetic preparation and evaluation

  • Supervise Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs)

  • Develop patient-specific anesthesia care plans

  • Monitor and adjust patients' physiologic conditions as appropriate for the type of anesthesia and patient needs

  • Transfer patient care responsibilities post-operatively to ensure continuity and safety

  • Support operating room procedures

  • Participate in additional responsibilities as needed

  • Engage in professional development for self and others

  • Call schedule not to exceed 1 in 4
