Contract/1099 Opportunity Physician Assistant

We are seeking to contract a Occupational Medicine Provider (MD, DO, NP, PA) in Jackson, WY to help ensure our service members receive the best care possible. Your Role at Jamshid Tamiry, M.D., P.C., dba QTC Medical Group of Alaska

As a contracted Occupational Medicine Provider (MD, DO, NP, PA) with Jamshid Tamiry, M.D., P.C., dba QTC Medical Group of Alaska, a Leidos QTC Health Service affiliated professional corporation, you will conduct various general medicine, occupational, and disability health examinations, including but not limited to:

  • Reviewing medical history and associated records
  • Interpreting clinical data
  • Completing written reports and generating independent medical opinions (IMO)

The examinations may be conducted in-person (clinic setting, your own or our clinic), at the examinee's home, or at large event settings for the Reserve Health Readiness Program.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct physical exams for federal, defense, and other clients
  • Perform occupational health exams, including pre- and post-employment and annual physicals
  • Write medical opinions based on medical records/information
  • Complete Veterans Benefits Administration Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQs)
  • Provide primary medical evaluations, including review of systems, pap smears, and range of motion assessments
  • Interpret diagnostic studies such as laboratory tests, pulmonary function tests, and ECGs
  • Document examinee records accurately in appropriate systems
  • Collaborate with other clinical staff and communicate effectively with team members to determine the best course of action for examinees

Required Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited university or college
    • Post-baccalaureate training from an accredited US institution
  • Certification:
    • Current NCCPA certification
    • National licensing with ANCC or AANP
    • Unrestricted medical license in the state of hire
    • Valid BLS or ACLS certification
    • Ability to obtain DEA license
    • Ability to maintain required certifications and training
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 2 years of post-graduate experience in General or Internal Medicine
    • Minimum 3 years of primary care experience
  • Clearance:
    • Ability to pass a medical clearance
    • Ability to obtain and maintain government clearances (LARS, Public Trust, NACI, BGI, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in occupational or disability medical examinations

Work Schedule and Compensation:

  • Flexible Schedule: Appointments scheduled with 5 to 7 days' notice; you set the pace and frequency
  • Location: Jackson, WY
  • Compensation: Paid per examination, based on requirements and examination type

Additional Information:

  • Complete online training courses (~17.5 hours)
  • Background check (7-year criminal and sex offender)
  • Obtain CPEP Certification (~17 hours)
