We are currently seeking a board-certified (or board-eligible) Internal Medicine Physician to join our team and help shape the future of healthcare in our community.

Role Responsibilities

• Manage a patient panel of 1822 patients per day (after an initial ramp-up period)
• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based primary care in an outpatient setting
• Independently diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
• Prescribe medications and therapies to treat illness and prevent disease
• Communicate clearly with patients and their families about care plans, test results, and treatment options
• Provide preventative health education and wellness advice related to nutrition, physical activity, hygiene, and lifestyle
• Maintain accurate, comprehensive patient records in the EMR system (Athena)
• Refer patients to appropriate specialists when necessary
• Support and manage patients with long-term care needs
• Collaborate with the broader care team to ensure integrated, team-based care
  

Required Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine (ABMS or AOA)
• Current and unrestricted medical license or the ability to obtain one in North Carolina
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Strong alignment with integrated, team-based care models
• Proficiency with basic computer systems and EMR platforms (Athena experience preferred)
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted DEA license
• Medicare provider number
• 37 years of clinical experience preferred
