Job Summary

The Neonatologist Division of Neonatology at East Tennessee State University located in the beautiful Central Appalachian Highlands is seeking a full-time Neonatologist. The position can be at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Professor, depending on experience. This is a non-tenure track position, jointly hired with Medical Education Assistance Corporation (MEAC).

Responsibilities include providing clinical care for a 39-bed level III NICU with in-house nurse practitioners, outpatient high-risk neonatal follow-up, teaching medical students and residents, quality improvement initiatives, and academic pursuits. The NICU admits over 800 patients annually at Niswonger Childrens Hospital, which is equipped with air and ground transport systems. An active perinatology division is also available through the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

  • Completion of Neonatology fellowship
  • Board Certified in Pediatrics
  • BC/BE in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
