CORE JOB SUMMARY

The Division of Nuclear Medicine at the University of Miami Health System and Leonard Miller School of Medicine seeks a fellowship-trained candidate for a full-time faculty position at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Professor in the clinical educator track.

The successful candidate will join a faculty of 70 radiologists involved in imaging across multiple facilities, including Jackson Memorial Hospital and other UHealth locations, delivering leading-edge patient care, research, and education.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Active clinical practice in outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Educate medical students, residents, and fellows in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Experience in general Nuclear Medicine studies (bone scans, thyroid, nuclear cardiology, renal, gastric, lymphatic, brain imaging).
  • Experience with hybrid SPECT/CT and PET/CT imaging.
  • Experience in radiopharmaceutical therapy and theranostics is highly desirable.
  • Supervise technical personnel performance.
  • Participate in on-call schedule.
  • Ensure quality assurance in Nuclear Medicine practice.
  • Provide Nuclear Medicine consultations.
  • Staff off-site outpatient imaging sites as needed.
  • Handle administrative responsibilities related to Nuclear Medicine.
  • Participate in teaching activities across various educational programs.
  • Potential involvement in clinical research development and management.
  • Serve on departmental and university committees.

Participation in teaching, research, and scholarly activities is expected, including attending meetings, Grand Rounds, and seminars.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Medical Degree
  • Diagnostic Radiology Residency
  • Nuclear Medicine Fellowship

Certification and Licensing:

  • ABR Certified or Eligible
  • ABNM Certified or Eligible
  • Florida Medical License or Eligible

Experience:

  • At least 1 year of dedicated Nuclear Medicine fellowship training.
  • Dual board certification preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes:

  • Experience in radiopharmaceutical therapy and theranostics.
  • Active participation in teaching, research, and multidisciplinary conferences.
