We are seeking a Psychiatrist to join our Behavioral Health Team.

This role can be part time (24 hours weekly) or full time, and can be tailored to meet the specific interests and skills of the candidate, including passion projects or specific patient populations.

Role:

The Psychiatrist coordinates and assists with overseeing psychiatric services alongside the Behavioral Health Director at our Community Health Center, providing direct services to patients. Duties include evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric conditions; issuing prescriptions and maintaining clients on psychotropic medication; taking a leadership role in conferences and staff training; and participating in peer review and Utilization Review (UR).

Responsibilities:

  • Prescribes and maintains clients on psychotropic medication.
  • Evaluates, diagnoses, and treats psychiatric conditions.
  • Supports substance use disorder care.
  • Participates in diagnostic formulation and development of treatment plans.
  • Supports Behavioral Health Director with policy review and development.
  • Leads case conferences and staff training on medical and neurological issues.
  • Participates in Peer Review and Utilization Review.
  • Collaborates with psychiatric nurse practitioners in consultation and peer review.
  • Provides psychiatric consultation to primary care providers.
  • Participates in training interns and staff of the Behavioral Health Department, as arranged.

Qualifications:

  • Completed accredited residency and training in Psychiatry.
  • Current Massachusetts MD License, MCSR, DEA, and Basic Life Support certification or ability to obtain.
  • Board certification.

Salary: $250,000 to $310,000 annually.
