Urology Hospitalist - Albuquerque, New Mexico

Presbyterian Medical Group seeks a Board Eligible / Board Certified Urologist to join our established practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We offer a nationally competitive salary with relocation allowance, CME allowance, and fully paid malpractice insurance.

Practice Highlights:

  • Hospital-based urology
  • Direct care for hospitalized and ER patients
  • Ability to perform procedures and surgeries

Responsibilities

Summary: The Urology Hospitalist provides comprehensive urologic care to hospitalized patients, focusing on diagnosis, treatment, and management of urological conditions, collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and manage urological conditions in hospitalized and ER patients, including phone call consults from outlying facilities.
  • Perform urological procedures and surgeries as needed.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Consult with patients, families, and healthcare providers for comprehensive urological care.
  • Participate in rounds and interdisciplinary meetings.
  • Maintain accurate medical records.
  • Educate patients and families about urological conditions and preventive care.
  • Stay updated on urological practices and technologies.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives.

Other requirements:

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Urology.
  • New Mexico medical license.
  • 3-5 years of urology experience.
  • Strong clinical skills and procedural ability.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Commitment to continuous learning.
