Position Summary:

The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites applications for an Open Rank Pediatric Surgical Ophthalmologist position. Responsibilities include outpatient care, surgical duties, clinical and/or bench research, and teaching and supervising residents and medical students. The position will serve patients at the UNC Kittner Eye Center, located at 2226 Nelson Hwy, Ste. 200, Chapel Hill, NC, and at various other UNC Eye clinical sites.

Academic rank and salary are commensurate with experience. The department considers variable hours (full-time or part-time) from 0.5 FTE to 1.0 FTE.

Prerequisites include graduation from an approved ophthalmology residency program and a 1- or 2-year fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology. Candidates should demonstrate excellence in scholarly and training activities. Board certification or eligibility and licensure in North Carolina are required.
