- The Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at the University of Utah seeks an Academic Hepatologist to be part of an established and growing Transplant Hepatology Program. Our team includes 4 transplant hepatologists, 5 abdominal transplant surgeons, 5 transplant coordinators, 5 advanced practice providers, and 3 transplant pharmacists.
- This faculty position focuses on hepatology and liver transplant, with optional outpatient endoscopy. Responsibilities include outpatient and inpatient clinical care, with inpatient service on a rotating basis. Academic duties may involve working with gastroenterology fellows and medical house staff, participating in weekly educational conferences, and engaging in research.
- Our transplant program has performed over 400 liver transplants, with over 60 last year, and aims to become a Center of Excellence, emphasizing our Living Liver Donation Program and a multidisciplinary transplant oncology program.
