Responsibilities
We have a full-time opportunity for a cardiac anesthesiologist at our Virginia Mason Medical Center location in downtown Seattle to join our collaborative care team. VMMC is a tertiary care referral center and the primary location for complex cardiovascular care for VMFH.
- Approximately 400 open heart cases per year including; complex aortic arch surgery, redo valve replacement, pulmonary thromboendarterectomy, and septal myectomy.
- We also offer convergent procedures, and have a robust mechanical circulatory support program including veno-venous and veno-arterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).
- Over 450 structural heart cases per year including; MitraClips, Tricuspid clips, TAVRs, transcatheter mitral and tricuspid valve replacement, Watchmans and high-risk PCI with impella support.

Qualifications
- BC/BE by the ABA, American Board of Anesthesiology.
- Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of Washington.
- Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority needed for specific practice.
- Certification in Advanced Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography.
- Board Certified, Fellowship Trained in Adult Cardiac Anesthesiology, ABA.
