MaineHealth Cardiology is seeking a full-time clinical cardiologist (non-interventional) for their Brunswick practice. This position also provides outreach to our clinic in Damariscotta.

Practice Details:

  1. Join a collaborative team of 8 cardiologists who share call weeks equally.
  2. A 1:1 APP model, along with 1:1 MA staffing with physicians. Full RN, device specialist, and administrative support staff are also available.
  3. Full clinic days see 17 patients.
  4. Dedicated graphics reading time separate from patient appointments.
  5. Provide comprehensive cardiac testing services, including stress testing, cardiac monitoring, nuclear, echocardiography, and vascular testing.
  6. Procedures offered include diagnostic cardiac catheterizations, TEEs, cardioversions, and pacemaker implants.
  7. Dedicated Advanced Heart Failure specialist.
  8. Visiting Vascular Medicine specialist in office 1-2 days a month.
  9. Robust cardiac device clinic.
  10. In-office implantation of loop recorders.

The Brunswick location serves as a regional referral center for the coastal region, handling outpatient imaging and procedures, as well as inpatient transfers. There are opportunities for eligible candidates to participate in inpatient service at Maine Medical Center in Portland, the tertiary care center for MaineHealth. MaineHealth Cardiology is a fully integrated cardiovascular practice with over 80 cardiologists practicing across the Southern, Coastal, and Mountain regions. Academic opportunities in research and education are available for interested candidates.

Qualifications:

  • MD/DO from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certification or Board Eligible
  • Preference for applicants with imaging (CT) and diagnostic cardiac catheterization capabilities, but all are encouraged to apply.
