The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery, Division of Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery, is seeking a congenital heart surgeon, experienced in neonatal cardiac surgery and cardiac transplantation, at the Assistant/Associate Professor level.
The Pediatric and Congenital Heart Center at UT Southwestern Medical Center and Childrens Health System of Texas is perennially ranked among the leading such centers by US News and World Report. The Heart Center include >45 adult and pediatric congenital cardiologists, 7 congenital cardiac anesthesiologists, 10 pediatric cardiac intensivists, and three congenital heart surgeons. The center is located in the DFW metropolitan area, already the fourth largest in the country and among the fastest growing in the country.
Candidates who are currently completing fellowship, as well as those within 5 years of training will be considered. The successful candidate will hold or be eligible for a Certificate in Congenital Cardiac Surgery from the American Board of Thoracic Surgery (or equivalent).Eligibility for a Texas Medical License is required.
