The Department of Medicine Division Gastroenterology (IBD) at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center is seeking a Physician to continue our excellent patient care. Appointment levels include Clinical Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor, commensurate with experience.

Academic appointment, rank, and salary will be based on qualifications and primary board certification. Compensation is highly competitive.

Job Overview

Provides and manages direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and care for patients within a recognized area of practice or specific patient population.

What You Will Do

  • Provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatments.
  • Prescribe pharmaceuticals, medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate.
  • Refer patients to specialists and relevant care components as needed.
  • Train and supervise medical students and residents involved in specialty activities and procedures.
  • Manage daily operations of medical programs, patient care units, or research functions as applicable.
  • Coordinate patient care activities of nursing and support staff.
  • Follow departmental policies, procedures, and quality improvement, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
  • Participate in health promotion, education, and prevention programs as appropriate.
  • Maintain departmental productivity thresholds.
  • Maintain faculty status with CWRU SOM if applicable.
  • Adhere to physician obligations outlined in the Physician Policy Manual.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

  • Comply with all policies and standards.
  • Follow departmental documentation and training requirements.
  • Safeguard Protected Health Information (PHI) as per policies, including annual training and adherence to the UH Code of Conduct.
