Job Summary:
Peak Gastroenterology is seeking a skilled and experienced General Gastroenterologist to join our medical team in Colorado Springs. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions. The General Gastroenterologist will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the ongoing development of our gastroenterology services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform standard gastroenterological procedures, including but not limited to colonoscopies, upper endoscopies (EGD), and polypectomy techniques
• Diagnose and treat a variety of gastrointestinal conditions using endoscopic and non-endoscopic techniques
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Provide pre- and post-procedure consultations to patients and their families, explaining the risks and benefits of procedures and addressing any concerns
• Stay current with advancements in gastroenterology through continuous education and professional development
• Contribute to clinical research and quality improvement initiatives within the gastroenterology unit
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards related to gastroenterology services
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records and documentation

Qualifications:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Board certification in Gastroenterology
• Ability to obtain a valid medical license to practice in Colorado
• Experience in performing gastroenterological procedures
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
