Overview
The Psychiatric Physician at Cone Health can practice in various clinical settings, including inpatient, outpatient, hybrid, full-time, part-time, and relief roles across multiple facilities within the Cone Health system. Responsibilities
- Provides multidisciplinary team coordination services in assigned areas.
- Mentors Cone Health psychiatry residents and students as needed.
- Uses independent judgment for diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Leads the interdisciplinary team, including advanced practice providers, to achieve patient care goals.
- Upholds professional standards, including Medical Staff By-Laws, practice standards, and professional image.
- Participates in medical audits, quality improvement, peer review, and related activities.
- Engages in continuous improvement and evidence-based practices to enhance healthcare outcomes.
- Maintains records per policies, laws, and regulations.
- Contributes to developing clinical guidelines and procedures.
- Shares designated on-call responsibilities with other physicians as needed.
Qualifications
- Board certification in Psychiatry, with fellowship training in child and adolescent psychiatry.
- North Carolina Medical License.
- North Carolina Drug Enforcement Administration License.
