In the role of Foodservice Territory Manager, you will be instrumental in developing customer relationships and driving business growth. Your responsibilities include nurturing existing accounts and seeking new business opportunities, with a focus on performance and building meaningful partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
Be the Customer Champion:
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers, provide insights on ordering platforms, and assist with menu consultations, product recommendations, and pricing strategies that help them thrive.
Drive Sales Success:
Your performance will be evaluated based on sales achievements, case growth, and new business acquisition through effective presentations and personalized sales approaches.
Collaborative Sales:
Work closely with our Specialists to capitalize on top opportunities and support new account openings while coordinating with marketing, supply chain, and customer service for optimal delivery.
Lead with Insight:
Identify potential customers using market intelligence and business directories, follow leads, and attend relevant trade shows to drive new business.
Delivery Resolution:
Oversee deliveries as per the routing schedule, addressing any order discrepancies, or delivery issues promptly.
Gain Competitive Advantage:
Stay informed about market conditions, product innovations, and competitors, sharing valuable insights with customers.
Be On The Move:
Travel throughout your territory, meeting customers for check-ins, site visits, and follow-ups to ensure satisfaction.
Work Environment:
This position involves daily travel outside of the office and may require visiting customers in varying weather conditions. Qualifications: 1+ years of sales experience preferred.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Experience in the foodservice industry, culinary, restaurant management, or hospitality preferred.
Strong oral and written communication skills with excellent presentation abilities.
Able to build relationships internally and externally and effectively cold call to elevate new business.
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
A competitive mindset with a commitment to exceeding targets.
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and negotiation skills.
Team-oriented attitude to collaborate with various stakeholders.
Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce is advantageous.
Able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs occasionally.
