Our law group is growing, and we are looking for a sharp family attorney who will zealously represent clients in all areas of family law. You'll assist individuals in a variety of situations, such as navigating prenuptial agreements and attending court hearings for divorce, alimony/spousal support, and child support. The prime candidate will have experience with a range of sensitive legal issues such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence, and be able to maintain composure, negotiate, and argue effectively even in emotional and high-stress situations. Compensation: $100,000 - $115,000 yearly Responsibilities:
* Organize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept current * Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation and forming a strategy for a plan of action * Represent clients in court proceedings as needed * Manage the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings when needed * Communicate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move through the civil litigation process
Qualifications:
* Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations * Extra consideration for those with a criminal justice background * Experience at a legal firm working on family law and real estate issues (determining marital property) for at least 1-2 years is required * Strong knowledge base of representing plaintiffs and defendants * Active membership with the ABA (American Bar Association)
* Licensed Massachusetts Family Law Attorney with 7 + years of hands-on experience in divorce and family law * Strong courtroom presence with proven litigation and negotiation skills * Ability to independently manage cases from intake through final judgment * Confident communicator who can counsel clients effectively under pressure * Organized, reliable, and committed to providing strategic and compassionate representation
Bonus Points If You:
* Experience handling real estate issues within divorce matters (marital home division, buyouts, etc.) * Familiarity with Clio, Lawmatics, and Microsoft Office Suite * New Hampshire bar license * Comfortable with tech and remote collaboration tools * A referral network or book of business
