At Low Country Case & Millwork, our Estimators are responsible for accurately estimating project costs, preparing bids, and ensuring that all estimates are submitted in a timely manner to General Contractors. Our Estimators collaborate closely with our Project Managers, and our Engineering departments, and are self-starting, hands on, and effective communicators. A successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. We provide turnkey manufacturing and installation of plastic laminate cabinets, painted cabinets, solid surface countertops, and custom architectural millwork. Responsibilities:
Prepare and submit estimates accurately and on time to prospective customers. Create and organize Job Estimate Folder on the server. Obtain latest project drawings and changes from contractors. Review architectural drawings & specifications, requests for quotes, and other documents to understand project requirements thoroughly. Check pricing and availability of materials to ensure accurate pricing within bids. Utilize PlanSwift software for material takeoffs, bid calculations, and documentation. Maintain working documents and data to support estimate figures. Provide General Contractors with thorough, well organized, and detailed Proposals to make sure that all required scope has been priced appropriately. Maintain a log of all estimates made, including dollar amount, bid date, acceptance/rejection date, and required date. Follow up on bids until job is awarded and track lost bids for analysis. Successfully turn over awarded projects to Project Management team. Review job details with Project Managers before project commencement. Provide detailed lists of materials, labor, subcontractors, and rentals included in the bid process. Assist Project Managers with pricing change orders as needed through the duration of the project. Ensure proper billing of project costs each month. Monitor job cost reports to prevent estimating errors. Customize and improve estimating processes and software. Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in construction estimating required. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred. Proficiency in PlanSwift software preferred. Strong analytical and mathematical skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: From $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
