Position Overview We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Academic Officer to lead our academic initiatives and enhance our academic programs. In this role, you will serve as the chief academic officer, guiding innovation and ensuring the academic rigor and relevance of our offerings. Your leadership will directly influence student recruitment, retention, and completion rates. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with academic deans to advance and enhance academic programs. Drive innovative teaching practices and research initiatives. Oversee academic administration and manage the Academic Affairs budget. Facilitate faculty and staff employment processes. Support the advancement of the university's Quality Enhancement Plan. Address operational infrastructures and manage academic policies. Serve as the primary academic liaison with the University System of Georgia. Qualifications: An earned doctorate or terminal degree. A strong academic background qualifying for the appointment as a full professor with tenure. A minimum of 5 years of related academic leadership experience, preferably at the dean or provost/vice president level. In-depth knowledge of post-secondary education issues, accreditation standards, and budget management principles. Strong skills in delegation, collaboration, decision-making, and communication. Adept at engaging with a diverse range of constituents. This position requires a commitment to enhancing academic excellence and the ability to inspire and lead in a diverse academic setting.
