POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Corporate HR Manager, HR Generalist will be responsible for a broad range of HR functions, including the areas of hiring, compensation, AAP, appraisals, separations, report writing and the administration and maintenance of the Ultipro Recruitment and Onboarding modules.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Conduct pre-employment background checks and educational verifications. Prepare appraisal forms for annual evaluation and related tracking Prepare monthly turnover reports and related data collection as required Prepare monthly Indirect Labor report covering plant facilities Assist HR Manager in salary administration and preparation Prepare and update spreadsheet and backup documentation to assist in salary administration process Responsible for updating employee records in UltiPro HRIS system Maintain and update Hourly and Salaried Employee Handbooks Create Cognos reports for Corporate HR and Plant HR Managers, as requested Helpdesk support to Plants on HR issues in UltiPro/Cognos/Recruitment and Onboarding Monitor all salaried & hourly requisitions in UltiPro Monitor Onboarding and process hires in UltiPro Maintain the Recruitment and Onboarding modules in UltiPro Hire candidates in Recruiting and send out Onboarding notifications to new hire, IT Dept and Exec group Manage and Update AAP process and data and prepare all related reports annually, report any adverse impact issues to HR Manager Assist Benefits & Compensation Specialist in various functions as directed Prepare separation letters and send notifications on separated employees Responsible for employee verification requests Fix and update errors in UKG history tables for plants Input, track and link applicant information in UltiPro for AAP program Maintain and organize personnel files in an orderly fashion Maintain driver personnel, qualification and medical files DOT Random drug screens, schedule and monitor results Schedule and track random drug screens for drivers Prepare listing of eligible employees for 401k bonus for accounting Prepare and compile information of selection process for 401k bonus Create and update organizational charts Perform other essential functions as required JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Preferred 4-year degree in Human Resources or related field A minimum of two years' of Human Resources experience SPECIAL SKILLS
Computer literate Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong problem-solving skills Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, and UKG HRIS systems WORKING CONDITIONS
