This Estimator has a responsibility for: (i) preparing accurate and timely cost estimates for netting installation projects; (ii) reviewing project specifications, drawings, and site details to determine materials and labor needs; (iii) working closely with sales, design, and operations teams to develop competitive proposals; (iv) communicating clearly with vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing; (v) and supporting the project handoff process from estimation to execution.
What will I do in this role?
Review drawings, site photos, and specifications to understand project requirements. Develop accurate material takeoffs and labor estimates for custom netting and install projects. Prepare and submit professional, competitive proposals and bids in a timely manner. Coordinate with internal teams to align estimates with design and operational capabilities. Request and analyze vendor/subcontractor quotes for materials, equipment, or specialty services. Track and update historical cost data to inform future estimates. Identify value engineering opportunities to improve cost efficiency. Ensure estimates reflect safety standards, permitting requirements, and client expectations. Maintain detailed records of all estimates, proposals, and pricing documents. Assist in project handoff meetings to ensure seamless transition from estimating to execution. What skills and experience do I need?

Estimating Experience Prior experience estimating in construction, fabrication, sports facility projects, or related industries. Blueprint & Plan Reading Ability to interpret architectural drawings, specs, and measurements to produce accurate takeoffs. Mathematical & Analytical Skills Strong numerical skills to calculate material quantities, costs, and timelines accurately. Communication & Team Collaboration Ability to communicate effectively with internal departments, vendors, and occasionally clients. Organization & Time Management Strong ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously and meet deadlines. Tech Skills Proficiency with Excel, estimating software, and digital takeoff tools is a plus.
