Mechanical Designer
Are you a Mechanical Designer with commercial HVAC or plumbing experience? Would you like to join a growing firm that offers stable, long-term employment?
We’re hiring a
Mechanical Designer
to support a wide range of commercial, civic, K-12, and infrastructure-focused projects. This is an opportunity for a technically minded, independent professional to work in a flexible environment with the freedom to own their work and contribute to meaningful community projects.
Work fully remote or have the option to go into an office when desired
Unlimited paid time off (PTO) with large cash bonuses

Responsibilities:
Design mechanical systems, primarily HVAC, for a variety of building types
Assist in plumbing system design and documentation
Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and reports
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects and other engineers
Coordinate with contractors and respond to RFIs during construction
Conduct site visits and perform construction administration tasks as needed
Communicate clearly in a remote environment and during in-person meetings or site visits
Qualifications:
4–10 years of mechanical design experience in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry
HVAC design proficiency; plumbing design experience is a plus
Associate’s degree in mechanical design, HVAC technology, architecture, or a related field required; Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD
EIT certification a plus, or interest in pursuing EIT and PE licensure
Experience with K-12 and civic projects is highly desirable
Familiarity with water and wastewater facilities is a plus, though not required
Must reside in Minnesota to support local site visits and construction administration
