Description
The Grounds Maintenance Staff Member plays a vital role in keeping the exterior areas of our community clean, safe, and well-maintained.
This is a seasonal position through October , focusing on seasonal landscaping, daily upkeep of walkways and outdoor spaces. The role helps ensure that our residents enjoy a beautiful and accessible environment during the peak months.
Key Responsibilities:
Mow, trim, and edge lawns; prune shrubs and trees Remove weeds, leaves, debris, and trash from grounds and parking areas Assist with planting flowers, shrubs, and other greenery Maintain walkways, driveways, patios, and other hardscape areas Monitor irrigation systems and report any issues Help with snow removal and ice treatment in winter (if applicable) Inspect grounds regularly and report safety hazards or needed repairs Set up outdoor furniture, décor, or equipment for special events Support basic maintenance tasks as needed (painting, pressure washing, etc.) Requirements
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Licenses/Certification:
Valid driver's license Experience:
One year experience in building maintenance. Six months of experience in long-term care preferred.
