Job Summary

The

TES 4HAgent Assistant

will be responsible for implementing and coordinating the goals and objectives of the 4-H and Youth Development program as well as assisting with other County office duties as needed.

The primary focus of this position will be conducting 4-H programming in the DeKalb County Schools. Temporary Employment Services (TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being: Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads Assistance with special projects Seasonal work Emergencies If you are looking for an employment opportunity, TES is a great way to showcase your professional skills and assist Auburn University while gaining valuable work experience within higher education.

Essential Functions

The Agent Assistant will also assist in preparing curriculum, implementing youth activities, and entering enrollment data. Must have good organizational and basic technology skills. Will assist and/or work with the County Extension Coordinator and 4-H Foundation Agent in activities that benefit the youth of the county. May also do office work as needed, such as answer phones, make copies, and assist office visitors.

The majority of the work for this position will be done in the classroom(s) of schools located throughout DeKalb County. Some nights/weekend work will be required.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent 4 years of experience in the organization and/or presentation of pre-designed educational programs/services, customer service, administrative support/clerical or related experience. 19 years or older Expectation:

Willingness to work with youth Willingness to work some nights and/or weekends
