Description

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Estimator to support our New Systems and Systems Solutions teams by delivering accurate and competitive project estimates. This role focuses on both design-build and plan & spec HVAC projects and may involve collaboration with an ARC Sales Representative or direct coordination with General Contractors.

Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed estimates for HVAC/R construction and retrofit projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, RFPs, and on-site conditions. Perform material takeoffs, labor calculations, and cost analysis; coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for accurate pricing. Develop and write clear subcontractor scopes of work. Conduct site visits and attend pre-bid walkthroughs as required, including roof access when necessary. Create comprehensive project budgets, bid proposals, and cost breakdowns, supported by detailed documentation. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and sales teams to align estimates with project goals and company strategy. Maintain and update estimating tools and historical cost databases. Monitor industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and code changes. Lead internal bid strategy meetings and coordinate deliverables for awarded projects with the Systems Team. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience (field or internship) in HVAC or construction estimating. Solid understanding of MEP systems and subcontractor scope alignment. Strong analytical, organizational, and strategic planning skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Procure, and AutoCAD. Strong time management skills and ability to adapt to shifting priorities. Willingness to travel throughout New England and the Northeast as needed. Benefits
