The Job:
The Maintenance Specialist is responsible for ensuring all equipment in the entire manufacturing facility is operating and in good condition. The Maintenance Specialist manages the responsibilities between machine maintenance and facility and/or ground maintenance. The Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for scheduling and maintaining the preventive maintenance program. This individual will need to have excellent time managing skills to efficiently complete multiple tasks.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for machine operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting;
Assist with installs, set-ups / equipment changeovers and calibration of packaging and process equipment;
Dismantle machines or equipment, replace defective parts and motors;
Monitor and adjust production equipment for quality and productivity;
Inspect equipment and facility to identify potential issues and perform preventive maintenance tasks for optimal performance
Schedule and assists with maintenance schedule depending on machine use;
Read and interpret equipment manuals, work orders to perform required service maintenance, and electrical schematics
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs and equipment performance
Assists or orders parts/tools in need
Inventories spare parts/tools
Remove dust, dirt, grease, and waste material from machines
Respond to emergency situations, such as spills or equipment malfunctions, to minimize damage
Assist in scheduling and supervising third party vendors who perform maintenance services and repairs in the areas of HVAC, plumbing, lighting, carpentry, painting, roofing
Assist in performing general repair/maintenance to include, but not limited to
Electrical
Building
Plumbing
Landscaping
Basic remodeling
Researches and proposes equipment upgrades
Follow all regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance
Maintain day-to-day operations of facilities, including monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots
Participate in Monthly/Weekly training on equipment alongside the Production Managers

2+ years general maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair experience within manufacturing/production plant
Strong Troubleshooting abilities
Great sense of urgency
Ability to work with various departments to resolve issues
Ability to learn and retain information quickly and efficiently
Efficient time management skills
