Position Description
The Company is looking for experienced and detail-oriented Estimators with a background in heavy civil, road, and site work construction. Our Estimators have the responsibility for estimating and bidding on multiple construction projects, comprehensively from concept to completion.
ESTIMATOR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop a clear understanding of project plans, specifications, and requirements
Organize and produce accurate and detailed estimates
Develop project work plans and construction schedules
Visit projects to identify and gain a clear understanding of the site
Assess construction risks and analyze cost impacts
Identify and articulate value-engineering alternatives
ESTIMATOR QUALIFICATIONS
A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar
Experience in public and private markets
Self-motivated yet able to work in a collaborative atmosphere
Critical thinking and decision making skills
Exceptional communication and presentation skills
Ability to prioritize work and manage time
Capable of establishing stakeholder relationships
Experience using HCSS Heavy Bid, Agtek, Microsoft Project, and Primavera
