Requirements
:
High school graduate or equivalent. Be able to read, write, and understand instructions written in English in order to effectively carry out responsibilities. Have experience as a custodian and possess a good working knowledge of custodial cleaning methods and procedures Experience in minor repairs and maintenance tasks is desired Ability to work a full eight (8) hour work period without excessive fatigue Must be able to furnish references on ability, character and morals Ability to maintain effective working relationships with administrators, district staff, teachers, students and general public, dealing with all individuals with courtesy, tact, good judgment and good customer service skills Dependable, reliable, prompt, well groomed and flexible

Kneeling frequently Overhead work frequently Lifting Up to 50 lbs Push/pull Up to 50 lbs Dust mopping daily Wet mopping daily Stair climbing daily Ladder climbing frequently Bending daily
ADDITIONAL INFREQUENT RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
:
Have knowledge necessary to cope with any emergencies that may arise; in case of damage, make minor repairs until the maintenance department can make the necessary repairs Note the location of all fire extinguishers, emergency cut-off valves, reset buttons, switches and breakers for all utilities, furnaces, circulating pumps, etc. Maintain a current emergency telephone number listing of fire department, police department, utility companies and maintenance personnel to contact when necessary
Extreme Weather Day Critical Position
This positions is classified as an Extreme Weather Day Critical Position. This position would be expected to report on days when the district is closed and 12 month staff have been instructed to not report.
$26,761 - $37,041 annual salary (dependent upon experience and qualifications)
