Purpose
The Graphic Design - Marketing student employee works closely with the OnRamps Communications and Marketing team and contributes to designs for marketing collateral, slide presentations, e-newsletters, social media graphics, and other visuals, as well as support with related file cataloging and asset management. Expand your creativity, exercise design thinking skills, and become proficient in Adobe Suite and other design tools - while shaping the way students, educators and leaders across Texas experience the OnRamps brand.
Responsibilities
Sources and creates graphics, layouts and templates for a variety of formats, including digital and print marketing collateral, one-pagers, PowerPoint presentations, email newsletters, social media, and other digital platforms used by OnRamps partners, teachers and students.
Collaborates across teams to produce compelling assets that adhere to OnRamps brand guidelines and further the mission.
Supports with file management and maintaining/organizing visual asset library.
Coordinates estimates and delivery of items with vendors as needed.
Supports the communications team with day-to-day operations for current marketing initiatives and special projects.
Completes administrative/project management tasks.
Required Qualifications
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in design, arts and entertainment technologies, marketing, communications or a similar related field at The University of Texas at Austin.
Developing or working knowledge of design fundamentals, composition, layout, and/or art direction and production.
Proficient or working knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator and/or InDesign, or similar applications.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and PowerPoint.
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work with moderate independence.
Ability to collaborate within a group environment.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior work experience and/or extracurricular activities with a focus on graphic design, marketing, or communications.
Volunteer leadership experience in extracurricular activities.
Prefer experience writing or editing content.
General knowledge of education on a national or state level.
Salary
$12.00 - $14.50 hourly
Working Conditions
May work around standard office conditions.
Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.
Remote work environment
