This position works out of a Charlottesville, VA, location in the Cardiometabolic and Informatics division. Our rapid diagnostics solutions are helping address some of the world's greatest healthcare challenges.
As an Interface Analyst, you'll have the chance to work on remote implementations and maintenance of the interface between the RALS data management system and the hospital Laboratory Information Systems (LIS)
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Achieve competency within the RALS data management system and RALS-ADT and RALS-LIS Interfaces
Based on specifications provided by end users, tailor RALS-LIS generic scripts to allow the successful transmission of results to Laboratory Information Systems (LIS)
Patient ID handling and validation
Comment handling
Result range and critical results handling
Single and multi-analyte profile and results handling
Customer specific situational requirements
Understand the requirements and differences between terminal emulation interfaces and HL7 interfaces
Tailor each interface according to different LIS requirements
Participate in internal script reviews for each tailored interface provided to end users
Manage workload to meet end user and HIS/LIS vendor test and go-live timelines
Own and manage individual projects as well as function as a resource for larger project teams
Manage customer expectations and provide ongoing customer support
Responsible for mandatory weekly time tracking and recording of specific activities such as project work and training to ensure financial and business compliance
Provide after-hours project support as needed
Complete other assigned projects and tasks as necessary
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
Required
Technical Associates Degree in networking/software-related field
General understanding of coding concepts
Experience with Java or JavaScript
Previous experience with Object-Oriented Programming
Previous experience in HL7 interfaces
Familiarity with remote connectivity and network communication protocols
Preferred
BA/BS preferred
Database management experience
Previous NextGen Mirth interface engine experience
Experience with LIS/HIS systems such as Meditech, Cerner, Epic, etc. is strongly preferred
Familiarity with Visual Basic 6 (VB)

The base pay for this position is $60,000.00 - $120,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
