The main missions of the role are to:
Install, repair and maintain all equipment
Maintain Facilities equipment as required
Analyze mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic problems on assigned equipment and make necessary corrections to maintain maximum production and quality
Propose and implement continuous productivity and quality improvement actions for all facilities and processes for efficiency
Keep up to date documentation related to maintenance / completion of PM’s
Continuously improving knowledge base
Maintain clean and safe working environment in line with company policy
Adheres to all work rules and procedures
Adheres to the Code of Ethics
Adheres to the Code of Management
Additional responsibilities include:
Actively participate in work teams
Implement at least six improvement idea per month
Other duties as requested
Job Knowledge / Skills / Qualifications:
Technical diploma and/or journey man card or 5 years minimum experience
Adjustment of robot programs as required / Training provided
Perform tasks of substantial variety/complexity
Strong Electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair skill set
Hydraulic and Pneumatic troubleshooting required
Working knowledge of Quality systems and Health, Safety and Environmental systems
Strong technical problem solving skills
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
Satisfactory company work record, including attendance
Successful completion of Faurecia’s in-house training programs
Ability to follow instruction verbal and written - good math, and reading skills required
Good communication skills demonstrated by the ability to communicate with employees of all levels
Forklift/Scissor/Boom certification – successful completion of Franklin certification trainings
Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team and in a positive manner
Valid drivers’ license
Physical Requirements:
Job involves lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, exerts 25 to 100 pounds of force occasionally to move objects
Requires pushing, pulling, reaching, standing, walking, gripping and bending
High mental and visual effort required
Able and willing to work overtime as required. Flexibility to help on other shifts when needed
Safety / Hazards:
Steel toed shoes required in production area at all times due to physical hazards from moving equipment, machine parts and product
ANSI Z87.1 standard safety glasses required in production area due to dust, oils and debris
Ear protection required in production area due to high noise levels from machines
Bump camps required in production area to reduce risk of head injury
Exposed to significant temperature changes in the facility – (heat in the summer / cold in the winter)
