Responsibilities

The

Manager of the Adult Day Health Center (ADHC) Services

is responsible for the daily leadership and management of the staff and activities at the ADHC and ensures processes are performed in a timely and efficient manner to provide a professional level of service. The ADHC Services Manager is also responsible for the supervision of center technicians, recreation and food service staff, and provides leadership to these positions.

Center Management - 50% Assists the Center Director in the development of the annual operation budget for the ADHC. Assists in the monitoring of overall expenditures to meet budget goals for the ADHC. Will be responsible as operator and assume all responsibilities when Center Director is absent from center (state requirement) Assists leadership in complying with licensing, accreditation and certification Ensures the safety and cleanliness of the center Orders and coordinates the delivery of supplies used in the ADHC as well as personal care supplies used at home by participants. Works with facilities department to oversees the repair and maintenance department. Maintains records and statistics for purposes of program evaluation and continuity of participant services. Functions as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) by implementing care plans and working with clinical staff to maintain continuity of care and meet the POC goals for the IDT. Assists the Center Director in meeting all customer service standards and responding to participant and employee complaints in a timely and professional manner. Ensures staff keeps current on and follows participant care plans at all times. Ensures staff observes participants for emotional, behavioral, and physical changes in condition including, but not limited to any changes in mood, skin integrity, bowel and bladder status, food/fluid intake, speech, ambulation, activity participation, and transfer ability. Oversees planning and assigning of group and individual activities to improve or maintain the participants' cognitive, physical, social, psychosocial, spiritual, and artistic needs. Oversees planning and assigning of activities for a dementia-specific population. Oversees daily flow of dementia activities area. Activities may focus on small groups, one-on-one programming and sensory stimulation. Assures timely documentation including initial assessments, care plans, individual service plans, and other data on all PACE participants as directed by the inter-disciplinary team. Effectively supervises and manages direct reports and provides, by example and leadership, motivation and direction to employees of the organization. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; recognizing and rewarding employees; corrective disciplinary procedures and practices (under direction of supervisor and in partnership with Human Resources), addressing complaints and resolving problems. Ensures annual employee performance reviews are conducted in a timely and effective manner. Evaluates performance of employees for compliance with established policies and objectives of the organization and contributions in attaining objectives. Helps set the tone of the department to ensure morale, team work, and that the positive employment culture of the organization is maintained. Regularly schedules leadership/management, department, and staff 1:1 meetings to provide leadership, development, and a forum for communication to ensure coordination and collaboration in meeting organization and individual goals REQUIRED

3+ years supervisory experience required with practical experience with the frail/geriatric population 3+ years in nursing, social work, psychology, gerontology, geriatric rehabilitation or recreation therapy as well as the proven ability to build effective teams and facilitate cross-site teams Experience with developing short and long-term organizational strategic plans to increase the overall effectiveness of the department. 1+ year experience working with the frail or elderly StateServ certification obtained within 30 days of employment. Bachelor's degree in human services, therapeutic recreation, geriatrics or a related field from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree PREFERRED

Master's degree in human services, therapeutic recreation, geriatrics or a related field from an accredited college/university Bi-lingual
