is looking to hire a
Part Time Assistant Manager
for
Fridays and Saturdays.
We offer a competitive hourly wage plus other bonuses and benefits.
Starting pay will be between $19/hr. - $20/hr. Currently, we are offering 16 hours per week for Friday and Saturday.
Availability Required:
Friday: 9 AM - 6 PM
Saturday: 9 AM - 6 PM
We are looking for an effective communicator who takes pride in their work and works with integrity to do the best job they are capable of each and every day.
Applicants that are outgoing, self-starters, highly motivated, sales-savvy, and tech savvy are highly encouraged to apply.
Prior self-storage experience is preferred but not required.
Job Duties:
Our assistant managers help with different components of the operation, including: leasing storage & parking, helping maintain the property, supervising on-site projects, communicating with home office team, and cultivating positive relationships with tenants and vendors.
Providing outstanding customer service including assessing and resolving customer problems and professionally handling telephone and walk-in inquiries
Management of a self-storage rental office including (but not limited to) opening and closing the office on time each day, keeping and balancing petty cash, making daily bank deposits and preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports as needed by the home office
Keeping the facility rented at optimum levels by effectively utilizing advertising, promotional and customer relation skills as approved by management
Maintaining all tenant documentation in a neat and orderly manner using company tools and methods
Controlling delinquencies through telephone, email contact and letters on a scheduled basis including sending out monthly invoices and legal notices
Cleaning empty space(s), hallways, and grounds as needed. Cleaning office and restrooms daily. Taking pride in the complete appearance of the property by making regular assessment of the conditions and working together to resolve maintenance and cleaning needs
Maintains a neat, clean, safe and secure facility including minor maintenance and daily lock checks as well as visual inspection daily
Assist in preparing units for auction, vacate as prescribed by law and according to company policies & procedures.
Effectively communicate with management and fellow associates
Work Skills:
Basic computer operation required. Candidate must understand and be proficient in MS Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook. Preferably experience using a self-storage software application but not required. Understanding of an automated gate system preferred but not required.
Experience & Qualifications:
5 years of customer service.
3 years of supervisory experience.
Retail sales.
Cash-handling.
General office skills.
Organizational skills.
Ability to pay close attention to detail.
Ability to read and write in English required.
Applicants must have a valid CA Driver License & proof of current auto insurance.
Reliable transportation
Education:
High School Diploma Required.
Associate's Degree/ Bachelor's Degree Preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Sitting for approx. 6 hours, light to heavy lifting 40 lbs.
