We are seeking a skilled and dependable Line Cook 2 to join our culinary team. This role is ideal for a professional with experience in high-volume, a la carte kitchen operations who takes pride in delivering consistent, high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment.
The Line Cook 2 will be responsible for preparing food according to established recipes and presentation standards, setting up and maintaining a clean and organized workstation, and supporting the overall flow of service during busy shifts. A commitment to excellence, teamwork, and kitchen cleanliness is essential in this role.
What You Do: Set up and organize the workstation with all necessary supplies and equipment. Follow standardized recipes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for menu item preparation. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming. Ensure consistent, high-quality food products daily. Communicate effectively to request assistance when needed. Demonstrate a strong understanding of cooking methods and learn all food items according to company specifications and standards. Adhere to proper sanitation and cleanliness standards in all food areas. Monitor food quality and ensure correct quantities of products are prepared. Support line staff and perform additional tasks as assigned by the Chef on duty. Set up stations with appropriate ingredients and equipment. Prepare a variety of menu items and operate at designated stations set by the Chef. Safely and efficiently operate kitchen equipment. Ensure timely preparation of all food items. Assist in training and developing new cooks as needed. Maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude, especially under pressure. Work effectively in a fast-paced environment. What You Bring to the Table:
High School Diploma or GED preferred. Basic culinary knowledge and experience in high-volume kitchen operations. Ability to multitask efficiently. Flexibility to work long hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Excellent listening skills and attention to detail. Strong safety and sanitation skills. Capability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 50 pounds. Communicate clearly and effectively in the primary language, with proper grammar and a pleasant demeanor. Handle multiple requests with accuracy and poise, even after long hours. Maintain a friendly and patient attitude while working. Stand and walk for extended periods and lift, carry, and push up to 50 pounds, as well as push carts weighing from 30 to 250 pounds. Adapt to varying work schedules, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
