Job Description

The IU Foundation, in partnership with the School, is seeking a new Director of Development to capture the energy and progress on campus and deliver that message to donors and friends of the University. We're seeking a true, intentional collaborator: someone who is excited to get to know the students, faculty, administration, and community, and be an engaged contributor who brings people together to foster student success and IU Northwest's strategic plan.

Reporting to the AVP of Development, Regional Campuses, you'll work directly with the IU Foundation, the Chancellor, faculty, senior staff, and cabinet members to maximize private support for the campus. You'll also collaborate deeply with community members and donors who care about the future of IU Northwest and its students. As Director of Development, you will create and lead the strategic direction for a comprehensive and coordinated development program. This includes all aspects of fundraising: annual fund, corporate and foundation relations, planned giving, major/principal gifts, and creating a culture of philanthropy throughout IUN. A large majority of your work will focus on cultivating relationships with major gift donors, utilizing the campus' internal resources and IU Foundation services to ensure a donor-centered advancement program that leads to multiple annual gift proposals of $50K+.

IUN has a strong, established portfolio and notable opportunities for growth-particularly in supporting key campus priorities such as infrastructure, student success centers, teaching and simulation labs, and the already outstanding nursing program at IUN. Your work will directly impact scholarships for students who currently lack access to an IU Northwest education, helping open doors and transform lives. This is a mission-driven opportunity for a driven self-starter ready to strengthen bonds and create new connections to support student success across Northwest Indiana.
