Why this role
Help unify purchasing across our U.S. branches-sourcing domestic suppliers. Inter-branch transfers: Monitor branch stock/backorders; prepare and coordinate transfers to balance service and working capital. Expediting: Track due dates, follow up with suppliers, and coordinate expedites/substitutions that meet spec without eroding margin. Domestic freight coordination: Follow routing guides, batch shipments for consolidation, and align ship windows to reduce total landed cost. Supplier performance tracking. Quality & compliance: Source to IFI/ASTM/ASME; collect/manage certs/COCs; ensure RoHS/REACH and DFARS/Buy American where required. Data Analysis. Cross-functional coordination: Work with Sales, Operations, Production, and QA to align on priorities, seasonality, and specs. Collaborate closely with the Import Purchasing Manager to coordinate domestic purchasing with inbound import supply, align allocation decisions, and maintain spec/price continuity. What you've done
