Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Metrology Inspector to lead and perform advanced inspections of aerospace hardware. This role involves hands-on work in receiving, in-process, and final inspection of components, including first article inspection and process verification. The ideal candidate is detail-focused, independent, and well-versed in GD&T, inspection equipment, and aerospace quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform inspections on received materials, in-process components, and finished parts using mechanical and electronic measuring tools
Create inspection records in line with AS9102 requirements
Verify coatings, finishes, and special processes against drawings and specifications
Work closely with machinists and production teams to assess workmanship and identify quality issues
Ensure calibrated gages and tools are in compliance before use
Identify and quarantine nonconforming material per company procedures
Maintain 5S and follow all safety, health, and environmental protocols
Support cross-functional operations and continuous improvement efforts
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing inspection or quality role
Knowledge of portable CMMs, specifically Faro Arm with laser line probe
Experience with PolyWorks IMInspect and/or Verisurf is a must.
Strong understanding of GD&T and ability to read technical drawings
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Familiarity with mechanical inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, pin gages, and indicators
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-mix environment
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds safely
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with InspectionXpert for ballooning prints and generating AS9102 FAI packages
Ability to review and validate Certificate of Conformance against PO requirements

[Business Hours:
Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with overtime as needed including some Saturdays
Base Salary Range:
$35 to $38
per hour, depending on experience
Base Location:
Ontario, CA
Travel: None Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
